The Department of Theatre & Dance's annual residency and performance initiative brings local and international guest artists to campus with the goal of affecting social change, climate justice, and other related topics. Artists engage students and the local community in workshops, class visits across the curriculum, dance classes, and performances.

Lifeforce: Nafs نَفس

The 2025 residency artist is MKH Dabke & Middle Eastern Dance Entertainment, renowned for cultural dance experiences rooted in Middle Eastern tradition, athleticism, and pure joy. Their October community class and performance – "Lifeforce: Nafs نَفس" – is rooted in themes of resilience and the soul and centers on Dabke – the spirited and symbolic folk dance of the Middle East.
